“Life is a book and there are a thousand pages I have not yet read.” -Cassandra Clare
This week's post will be another book review! This one is pretty cool because Clockwork Princess is the last book of the Infernal Devices series (Click here to read my review on the previous book). It was written by Cassandra Clare, and was published on March 9th, 2013. It was a Teen Choice Book of the Year Finalist, which is a huge achievement, because teens can be quite picky when it comes to books. I should know -- I'm soon to become one! Here is what some picky-ish reviewers have to say about this book:
“The unusual, satisfyingly indulgent conclusion will leave fans emotionally satiated.” -Kirkus Reviews
“A must-read.” -Booklist
The crew decide that the infernal devices were referring to Mortmain's automatons. Other clues help them conclude that Benedict was indeed working for Mortmain. As they search for Mortmain's whereabouts, Jem's yin fen is running out. Word on the street is that Mortmain and those working for him have bought up all the yin fen. The less of the drug there is, the more Jem's health is decreasing. Through a letter, Mortmain makes a deal with the Institute and those living in it. If he can gain possession of Tessa and use her power for his own evil, he will send a supply of yin fen to Jem regularly. The crew now has to decide whether to accept the deal or not.
Will Mortmain succeed in capturing Tessa? Will Mortmain and his automatons be ever defeated? And will the love triangle between Tessa, Jem, and Will ever be solved?
